•  Teal and white angular shards wrap the shell, broken by a grey dot-matrix field on the lower chin area

•  Neon yellow accents sit on the flip-up section and the top peak — the same yellow that marks the "SUN SHIELD" text on the chin bar

•  Three horizontal recessed ridges on the front of the chin bar give the nose area a defined, aerodynamic look

The graphics aren't a vinyl wrap that peels at the edges in month six. They're part of the shell's surface — they wear exactly as long as the helmet does.

SUN SHIELD: Two Lenses, One Thumb

Modular Helmets lightweight  have a double-lens system  which is printed right on the shell, in case you missed it: SUN SHIELD runs vertically on the yellow chin-bar strip.

•  Outer visor — clear, optical-grade polycarbonate; flips up with the chin bar on the modular mechanism

•  Inner sun shield — dark smoke tint with a notched bottom edge that clears the bridge of the nose

The slider lives on the side of the shell, reachable with a gloved thumb. Morning commute into the low sun: shield down, glare gone. Noon tunnel: shield up, world brightens. The tinted inner lens is the feature commuters use twice a day, every day — and the reason this helmet's spec sheet leads with "HD Double Lens."

Vents Where the Heat Builds

Two intakes cover the places a modular gets stuffy:

•  Upper vent at the top-rear brow area, adjustable, feeding air across the crown

•  Front vent in the chin bar, positioned where your breath would otherwise fog the shield on a cold morning

Paired with the open eye-port geometry, the flow path keeps the interior from turning into a sauna at stoplights — the classic modular weakness, handled before you ever feel it.

Inside: Three Pieces, Five Minutes

The interior  of flip up Modular Helmets comes out the way it should — completely.

•  Crown liner plus two cheek pads, three separate removable pieces

•  Black mesh padding around the ear and neck area

•  Red quick-release buckle on the chin strap — a red-and-silver metal clasp that releases with a firm pull, even through winter gloves

Before production, prototype shells went through our in-house impact bench — a 5.5 m/s strike per GB 811-2010 — with transmitted peak acceleration held well under the regulatory ceiling. Prototypes then went to a 120-rider fleet for road trials: motorway cruising, city stop-start, and the summer-commute heat this helmet was designed to handle. The vent placement and the sun-shield slider action both came out of those rides.

The branding points  in ultralight Modular Helmets for touring are all customizable — the forehead badge, the rear emblem, and the graphic panels. Print, pad-print, or metal badge options are available; send your artwork, approve the proof, and the helmet leaves the line wearing your name, not ours. The factory runs OEM/ODM programs for distributors across 50+ countries, so the process is already established.

Packaging: each helmet in a non-woven bag inside a reinforced color box (box dimensions per the spec table above). Sea freight, air freight, or multimodal — CI, PL, and CO documentation included.

The modular mechanism is the most mechanically complex part of any helmet — it's where cheap helmets fail first. Order a sample and work the chin bar a hundred times before you commit. That's not a sales pitch; it's the test our own riders put it through.

Q: Is the inner sun shield easy to operate?

Yes — it's a slider on the side of the shell, reachable with a gloved thumb. Down for glare, up for tunnels and dusk; it moves without taking your hand off the bars.

Q: Are the graphics a decal or painted?

Neither — the graphic pattern is molded into the reinforced ABS+PC shell surface. It wears as long as the helmet does, no peeling edges.

Q: Can the brand logo be changed?

Yes — forehead badge, rear emblem, and graphic panels are all customizable. Print, pad-print, or metal badge options; a custom sample with your logo is refundable with your first bulk order.

Q: Does the chin bar lock securely?

Yes — the modular mechanism latches at the pivot and the chin bar clicks into a locked position when down. The protection rating assumes it's down and latched, which is exactly how the latch is tested.
